Immigration Lawyer, Colorado
For 19 years, Nicole Murad has dedicated her practice to U.S. immigration law, with the bulk of her work in removal defense: standing beside individuals and families facing deportation in Immigration Court. She co-founded and leads Murad Immigration Law, where she represents clients before the Immigration Courts (EOIR), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and the U.S. Department of State.
Nicole’s practice centers on the cases where the stakes are highest: asylum and other defenses to removal, keeping families together, and protecting survivors of crime, abuse, and trafficking. She is known for preparing cases meticulously, advocating tenaciously in court, and explaining complex law in plain terms so clients understand their options and can make informed decisions about their futures. She is fluent in Spanish and works directly with clients in their language.
Nicole came to immigration law by an unusual path. She began her career in enterprise telecom sales at US West, MCI, and e.spire Communications, where she earned top-performer recognition. That work drew her to Georgetown Law to study telecommunications, internet, and privacy law. She then practiced at Wiley Rein LLP in Washington, D.C., advising on telecom regulation, privacy, technology transactions, and public policy. That background in federal regulatory work, business, and technology shapes how she runs her firm today: strategically, efficiently, and with a clear eye on outcomes.
Nicole earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.S. in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of Arizona. She is a member of the District of Columbia and Virginia bars. She has served as Chapter Chair of the Colorado Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and on the Board of Directors of Intercambio Uniting Communities (2013–2019). She also serves as Planning & Zoning Commissioner for the Town of Avon, Colorado.
